Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the largest Disney park in the world!<\/p>\n

Its surface area is equal to 300 Serie A soccer fields.<\/p>\n

It opened its doors on April 22, 1998, but only became popular eight years later with the debut of Expedition Everest<\/strong> \u2014 the most expensive attraction ever built at the time ($100 million).<\/p>\n

This record was only broken in 2019 with the construction of Hagrid\u2019s motorbike coaster at Universal Orlando Resort ($300 million).<\/p>\n

But in May 2017, another gem was unveiled at the park:<\/p>\n

Pandora \u2013 The World of\u00a0Avatar<\/i> <\/span><\/strong>is an incredibly immersive land with two absolutely WOW attractions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Animal
\nAnd it\u2019s from this marvel that our visit to Animal Kingdom begins.<\/p>\n

Let Pandora welcome you \u2014 everything here is designed to fully engage your senses. Your sight, smell, and hearing will be captivated by your surroundings.<\/p>\n

Take a moment to observe the lush vegetation, the flowing streams, and the iconic floating mountains. Listen to the sounds of the forest, which will cradle you from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.<\/p>\n

Na’vi River Journey<\/strong> and Avatar Flight of Passage are the two attractions in this land.<\/p>\n

The first will immerse you even deeper into Pandora\u2019s forest, with visual effects, lighting, sounds, and the most advanced Disney animatronic ever \u2014 guaranteed to leave you in awe!<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t leave your mouth open too long \u2014 you\u2019ll need that jaw for Avatar Flight of Passage<\/strong>, a true blast of technology!<\/p>\n

In this attraction, you\u2019ll have the chance to become an Avatar, ride a Banshee (Ikran)<\/i><\/span>, and soar through the skies of Pandora.<\/p>\n

It was one of the few attractions in the world that left me speechless \u2014 I was almost moved to tears when I got off.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Also the shows at Animal Kingdom are top-notch.<\/p>\n

“Finding Nemo \u2013 The Musical” and “Festival of the Lion King” are two musicals you can\u2019t miss.<\/p>\n

The first is perhaps the most original musical I\u2019ve ever seen. The actors and characters blend so well that it feels like you\u2019re inside the movie, and that it\u2019s truly Nemo and his friends singing.<\/p>\n

Festival of the Lion King<\/strong> is a celebration of Africa \u2014 a burst of colors, dances, and acrobatics. These 30 minutes will feel like 5 thanks to how captivating it is.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

But the celebration of \u201cMother Africa\u201d doesn\u2019t stop there!<\/p>\n

Kilimanjaro Safaris<\/strong> is a real African safari where, aboard huge trucks, you\u2019ll see 34 different species roaming the land.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s most fascinating is that the animals aren\u2019t enclosed in cages or big fences \u2014 they\u2019re free to roam the entire area.<\/p>\n

Lions included!<\/p>\n

After this tour, I highly recommend walking the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A walking path winding through a rainforest filled with animals. Unmissable!<\/p>\n

The Asia-themed area is naturally highlighted by Expedition Everest<\/strong> \u2014 this massive mountain hosts a coaster like no other.<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t spoil it for you, but know that thrilling moments and surprises are guaranteed.<\/p>\n

\"Expedition<\/p>\n

This area is also home to another attraction: Kali River Rapids<\/strong>, a must-have for any park \u2014 except here, everything is bigger! The rafts are huge, and so are the drops!<\/p>\n

No covering up allowed \u2014 getting soaked is part of the experience! haha<\/p>\n

Also in this area is the second walking trail: Maharajah Jungle Trek<\/strong>, fully dedicated to Asian flora and fauna.<\/p>\n

DinoLand U.S.A. might seem like a kids-only area \u2014 that\u2019s only partially true, because DINOSAUR<\/strong> will definitely give you a jolt at a certain point in the ride!<\/p>\n

\"DINOSAUR<\/p>\n

For those who aren\u2019t fans of intense thrills, you\u2019ll find Dino-Rama and The Boneyard.<\/p>\n

The first is a fairground-style area with classic games, a few small attractions for younger guests, and even a spinning coaster \u2014 Primeval Whirl<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Boneyard is a true Jurassic-themed playland, with soft flooring, slides, and splash areas. Warning: if you bring your little ones here, they won\u2019t want to leave! hahah<\/p>\n

Discovery Island<\/strong> is the central land of the park.<\/p>\n

Here stands the \u201cTree of Life,\u201d a massive 40-meter tall baobab whose bark is carved with bas-reliefs of 325 different animal species.<\/p>\n

In this area, the only true attraction is It\u2019s Tough to be a Bug!<\/strong> \u2014 a 4D cinema experience that\u2019s incredibly immersive and fun.<\/p>\n

In conclusion<\/h2>\n

Disney\u2019s Animal Kingdom is massive and packed with attractions, shows, environments, restaurants, and shops.
\nTo truly experience it, you\u2019ll need at least two full days.<\/p>\n

Because of its size, I strongly recommend planning a route that avoids backtracking between lands.<\/p>\n

Even in two days, you won\u2019t see everything \u2014 I had to make choices too.
