In this article, I\u2019ll give you all the details that will make you fall in love with this enchanting service.<\/p>\n

What is PhotoPass?<\/h2>\n

PhotoPass is a paid service that captures photos and videos during your character meet-and-greets, on attractions, and throughout the park.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Where can you buy the photos?<\/h2>\n

Photos and videos can be purchased individually through your My Disney Experience account \u2014 the same one you use for booking FastPass+ \u2014 but I don\u2019t recommend buying them one by one as each costs about $16<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How can you save money?<\/h2>\n

To save, I strongly recommend purchasing the Memory Maker<\/a> at least 3 days before your arrival at Walt Disney World for $169<\/strong>.
\nThis service allows you to download ALL<\/strong> the photos and videos taken during your stay.<\/p>\n

\nBut the perks don\u2019t stop there!<\/p>\n

If you are a small group<\/strong> \u2014 like in my group trips<\/a> \u2014 and you add everyone to the same account, you can share the photos with up to 25 people<\/strong>, splitting the cost among you.<\/p>\n

How can you make the most of it?<\/h2>\n

Whether you’re a group or a family like us, right before meeting a character ask the Cast Member if you can take photos both as a group and individually<\/strong>.
\nDon\u2019t worry \u2014 this is totally normal, and Cast Members are always friendly and helpful.<\/p>\n

\nThis “strategy”<\/strong> will help you get more photos while lowering the cost per image.<\/p>\n

On our recent trip, using this technique, we ended up with 428<\/strong> files between photos and videos<\/strong> in just 9 Disney park days!<\/p>\n

How does it work?<\/h2>\n

Inside Walt Disney World Resort, you can take as many photos as you want with characters or at any PhotoPass locations \u2014 you don\u2019t need<\/strong> to have purchased the service in advance. There are several ways to link them to your account. Let\u2019s see how:<\/p>\n

Photos on attractions<\/h3>\n

\nAt the exit of PhotoPass-enabled attractions, you\u2019ll find screens displaying your photos. Just tap your park ticket or MagicBand on the photo you want and it\u2019ll magically appear in your smartphone app<\/a>, which I highly recommend installing.<\/p>\n

Photos with characters or around the parks<\/h3>\n

Character meet-and-greets are a whole experience of their own \u2014 I never miss Ariel and Chewbacca. The first has a stunning setup, and the second\u2026 hugging Chewie is always emotional (for me, at least!). \"\"
\nThroughout the parks, there are plenty of spectacular photo spots. You can find them on the app under the PhotoPass<\/strong> section, where photographers are ready to capture some magical shots \u2014 sometimes with a surprise magical touch you won\u2019t expect.<\/p>\n

\nIn both situations, once your photos are taken, simply hand your park ticket or MagicBand to the photographer \u2014 they\u2019ll scan it and your memories will magically appear on your phone.<\/p>\n

This type of memory was introduced a few years ago with the launch of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not always available and currently only on a few attractions \u2014 and the only way to get it is to wear a MagicBand. Just have it on your wrist and wait for the magic to appear in your account.<\/p>\n

No screens like on other rides, no buttons to press, no photographers \u2014 just pure Disney magic.<\/p>\n
